Pause. Breathe. Restore.
This week, I’m taking some of my own advice.
Rather than writing a full blog, I’m choosing to honour what my own body and mind have been quietly asking for.
Sometimes we’re so busy looking after everyone else that we forget to listen when we need a little time and space. We ignore the whispers until they become louder, convincing ourselves that we’ll rest “when everything is done.”
But what if everything is never done?
Over the past few weeks, the Universe has been gently nudging me. Little signs reminding me to slow down, to notice, to make space for what really matters.
So that’s exactly what I’m doing.
I’m taking some time to lie beneath my Silver Birch tree, listening to the rustle of its leaves while they’re still there before autumn gently carries them away for another year.
I’m reminding myself that rest isn’t something we earn.
It’s something we need.
Nature never apologises for slowing down. The trees don’t question whether they’re allowed to shed their leaves. They simply trust the seasons.
Perhaps we can learn to trust our own seasons too.
So this week, this is your gentle reminder to listen.
Listen to your body when it’s asking for rest.
Listen to your mind when it needs a little more peace.
Listen to your heart when it’s quietly telling you that something needs to change.
And if you can, find a tree, sit beneath it, breathe deeply and simply be for a while.
The world will still be there when you get back.
Have a beautiful week, beautiful souls.
Pause. Breathe. Restore. 🤍
